Live on NBC
If you've read Gwen's story you know that before she designed jewelry she was a self taught then formally trained apparel designer. Her foundation in apparel design and love for fashion forged her relationship with the non-profit, Little Dresses for Africa. Her love for creating and empowering women motivated her to form her own initiative in support of the organization. Annually, Gwen organizes a group of volunteers to assist with making and designing 100 dresses for little girls across the globe who are in need of them. The project is currently funded largely by Gwen Beloti Collection, a portion of every sale helps to fund the initiative. In theory and in practice Gwen Beloti customers are key contributors in serving the community.

100 DRESSES FOR LITTLE DRESSES FOR AFRICA PROJECT
Little Dresses for Africa – LDFA is a Christian based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide relief to vulnerable children throughout the continent of Africa and abroad. Volunteers from all over the world support by making little dresses out of pillow cases or other simple patterns. LDFA sends the donated dresses through missions teams, mails them directly to verified communities and takes them personally with their short term teams. To date they've delivered millions of dresses and shorts to children around the world, and their efforts don't end there. They’ve taken on a very active and committed role in assisting with the betterment of the communities the children reside in by building wells, housing, and schools.
Gwen has collaborated with LDFA on various projects. In 2015 Gwen Beloti Collection organized the 100 Dresses for LDFA Project. Gwen alongside student and community volunteers from across NYC, gather annually to make and design 100 dresses.
2020 marks the 6th year the brand has organized the event; having now made and donated well over 500 dresses.
SUSTAINABLE FASHION
The materials that are used to decorate and embellish the pillowcases are made in large from excess and repurposed fabrics and trimmings.
